Meet Zee
Zee, short for Zimele, means “independent” in Zulu—a name that perfectly reflects her spirit. As the first woman Zulu walking guide in South Africa, Zee’s passion for mountaineering goes beyond summiting peaks—it’s about uplifting her community and sharing the magic of the Drakensberg Mountains with the world. By involving local guides and porters, Zee is creating opportunities for others to experience the joy of the outdoors while learning about the region’s rich cultural heritage. Her leadership ensures that every trek is an authentic journey led by individuals who truly understand the mountains.
Zee is a qualified mountaineer with a National Tourism and Guide Diploma in Mountaineering and Adventure from THETA.
Fluent English, Endless Stories
Having lived in the UK for 4 years, Zee speaks fluent English and can share tales from both her Zulu heritage and her experiences in Birmingham, Leicester, and beyond.
